Feather Headband - Bohemian Inspired - PARSONS X TEEN VOGUE ASSIGNMENT

By taking part in this course, it has given me a better understanding into what I would like to pursue in the fashion industry. Before this course my mind was a jumble of styling, photography and marketing however now the prospect of having all of those things while designing my own accessory line is overwhelming ! While designing the headband it gave me an insight into some hidden talents of mine! I have always loved art, drawing anything creative captured me.

While I sat there in my room coming up with a design inspired by different objects I found intriguing I imagined the whole collection. Jewellery, clutches, totes and backpacks. Ive realised this is an area that I would like to look more into and just maybe have my own creations placed in wardrobes all over the world!

Feather Headband
Monochrome rope €3
jute roll €1.50
feathers (green) €2
feathers (pink) €2
.5 hours @ €10.00 €5
€13.50
20% profit €2.70
Total cost plus profit  €16.20
Estimated Retail Price  €20.00

In regards to the pricing for this feather head band! I think they are reasonable and fairly priced.

To be sold and €20.00 in stores, I think is a very good price considering the amount of time gone into them, the headbands are all made by hand! If I were to create a large amount of these headbands I would maybe consider a different method of manufacturing, however I think the quality would be better if they were hand made, because you can pay more attention to detail.

Overall this assignment has thought me about what goes into designing, making and selling an accessory or any other item of clothing.

Oh Hello Sunshine

Hey Guys,

I've recently been all over the place with work and making decisions about my future, I haven't had time to sit down and reflect on what I was truly happy doing. That is creating content for YouYube  , Instagram and my blog which I have completely neglected on all levels by the way! I hope that this summer I can release my inner creative crazy person and deliver some cool outfits, photography and advice!

If you would like to follow me on this journey, I'd be more than happy to show you what its like in the mind of a fashion obsessed, photography and travel geek!

Hope you guys like this look I put together, inspired by my nochella experience of stalking Coachella goers!

"Be Bold"

Be Bold with the new

 Real Techniques "BOLD METALS" collection

The suspense for these makeup brushes all over the world was incredible, even when I went to buy them in the shop the guy behind the counter just laughed and said "whats all the hype for with these brushes" He clearly doesn't understand how us girls think!
The hype is clearly caused by how different these brushes look compared to Real Techniques original collection of brushes. This collection screams BOLD and this is exactly what its name represents. The "BOLD METALS" collection is a complete contrast to the original brushes. I feel they are better designed, the colour and overall look of the brushes is amazing!

When you first see them in their packaging, its hard not to get overwhelmed with how striking the gold, silver and rose gold is!

For me, so far my favourite brush would have to be the 301 flat contour brush. It gives you amazing control to give the perfect sculpted effect. Even for those who are unfamiliar with contouring would have no problem when using this brush.

While I'm loving all the brushes I bought from this collection the 101 triangle foundation brush has yet to win me over!! It may be the foundation I am using with it, but it just didn't give me the effect I had envisioned for such uniquely designed brush. I found the foundation went on streaky and unevenly as the bristle aren't as dense as the other brushes.

My over all first impression of Real Techniques new "BOLD METALS" collection is one of praise.
I have yet to get the remaining brushes, but for now I will continue to use the ones I need and hopefully learn to use them properly in order to benefit fully with them.

If you are looking for new brushes I would definitely recommend you to try these brushes

Such high end design at such an affordable price !

Dressed to the Nines..

Every girl needs a staple pair of black pointed toe heels! and this amazing pair is from the oh so lovely and classy brand Nine West.  I bought these recently for a wedding, however I've always wanted a pair of pointed toe heels. They go we anything, from boyfriend jeans to a floor length maxi skirt. At first I was hesitant in buying these as I thought the pointed toe would be uncomfortable, surprisingly they are the complete opposite. They fit like gloves and I could prance around in them all day! Well... we all know that I might be over exagerating a tad! but I still love the comfort I feel wearing this shoes.

I promise you it is worth getting rid of an old tattered pair of heels in your closet and replace them with a classic heel like these Nine West beauties. You will not regret it!

They can take you anywhere and whatever the outfit put these shoes on and you will always look dressed to the Nines!!

Yours Sincerely
