My Go To 2017 Products So Far .....

Improve your daily look with very little effort

 No.1 : Charlotte Tilbury

Honestly the first time I heard of the great Charlotte Tilbury was this year when a section opened up at my local Brown Thomas and my first impression was "WOW". Everything looked so glam and rose gold ( my fav) but the the prices came into play. At first I was hesitant to purchase but I just said you gotta try sometime... and thankfully I did because these products are now some of my favourites!
I purchased the "All in one Makeup Kit" which supposedly only takes five minutes to transform you into your desired look...however being more realistic it takes me much longer as my skin isn't as even as all those models in her photos but hey we can try, right? even at that these products are amazing quality, they smell really great and the girls at the counter are always very helpful, making sure you choose the right products for your skin tone and needs!
The Kit is priced at 65.00 which may seem like a lot at first but if you look at everything you get in the kit, the price is actually very good value!

One of my favourite products is the Wonder glow, while this is just a sample size a little goes a long way with this product! It can be worn on its own, under or over your makeup to create a glowing  look!

No.2 ST. TROPEZ
 Self tan and gradual tan

One Word.... amazing!

I've tried so many different tans throughout my teen years and it has taken me this long to find the one tan that I can't fault. Everything from the scent to the ease of application makes this tan my number one!

If you want a tan that builds up gradually creating a sun kissed glow then you should opt for the Gradual Everyday Body Lotion, this tan builds up very evenly and gives a stunning glow to the skin. While a lot of tans mask your skin tone, this tan is different  it simply gives your natural skin tone a healthy sun kissed glow. For a deeper tan the best one to go for is the Self Tan Bronzing Lotion you can wash it off within an hour but if you want a darker tan then I would suggest leaving it on overnight.

No. 3 Bellamianta Tanning Mitt

By far the best mitt I've ever tried! The easiest and most even application. The velvet texture allows for a streak free and even finish. Retailing at the reasonable price of €9.95, This tanning mitt is a must have for any tan fanatic... Trust me! It'll make your tanning life so much easier!

No.4 Bioxidea - 24 Hour Miracle Face Mask

http://bioxidea.com

I only found out about this face mask this Christmas when I received it as a gift off my boyfriend because he said I might stop giving out about "all my spots" if this works... how charming I know ! But on a serious note I have seen some improvements in the texture of my skin, my skin feels smoother I haven't had any major breakouts which is unusual especially coming up to my time of the month.. so it makes me wonder is it the mask having miraculous results or is it just pure luck!

This pack comes with three face masks, some people recommend to use it coming up to special occasion to make sure your skin is in top condition.

2017- Life And Creative Goals

"To be well travelled is not to have been to every destination in the world, but it is to be a person that takes from those experiences in each destination"

My 2017 journey ......

While I have lazed about the last few months I have realised that I have lost sight of what I wanted to achieve in 2016...
After returning home from Barcelona it all suddenly came to a halt! My online presence took a hit, some may say that it is a good thing to take a step back from social media from time to time, of course it is. The problem is I took a huge step back. I lost my motivation to post frequently and instead of being something that made me excited to get home and get started on, I just shrugged off any form of creative inspiration and let it spiral throughout the end of 2016.

My 2017 GOALS

- Take my Instagram, Youtube and blog to the next level
- Post more frequently
-Try sushi
-Cook more
-Work harder
- Learn how to drive (like seriously have to!)
-Start updating my Art Portfolio
-Travel more in Ireland
- Look into college courses / apply
-Eat cleaner and exercise more
-Plan a holiday with my boyfriend
- Have a girly getaway
-Learn to love the way I look more
-Make a difference in someones life
-Volunteer for a Charity
- Smile and enjoy the little things more

So yes 2017 will hopefully be my year! and however many times someone says that or writes it down in a blog post... I really do mean it!

That girl who set up her Youtube channel and posted her first fashion inspired picture on Instagram in 2014 needs to return and this year. The year of 2017

Is hopefully her year .......

What are your goals this year?

Retail Marketing - A display I found compelling

While in Barcelona I decided to go roam the streets in search for some compelling and creative displays! while there was many wild and whacky displays, this one in the picture above I found to be a very good display. Its well laid out, the colours are good for this time of year and also I feel the clothing is great for the transition from summer to fall! The display is from Mango Barcelona. It was the first thing I saw when I walked into the store and it capture my attention immediately which I think is the main objective for displays,

Also I think the display works because the clothing is very versatile for all body types and skin colour. It is not just aimed at one group of people but whether you are size 6 or size 14 you could mix and match the clothing in this display to make it suit your own body type which will also create more sales, as more people will be able to see themselves wearing the items. The way the colour red and brown ties into the looks gives it a dash of colour which I think gives the display a bit of edge instead of being all black and navy!

Overall this display for me was very compelling! not just because it appealed to me and my fashion sense but also because I feel it would appeal to a lot of consumers and it would have a major impact on sales in the store!

Feather Headband - Bohemian Inspired - PARSONS X TEEN VOGUE ASSIGNMENT

By taking part in this course, it has given me a better understanding into what I would like to pursue in the fashion industry. Before this course my mind was a jumble of styling, photography and marketing however now the prospect of having all of those things while designing my own accessory line is overwhelming ! While designing the headband it gave me an insight into some hidden talents of mine! I have always loved art, drawing anything creative captured me.

While I sat there in my room coming up with a design inspired by different objects I found intriguing I imagined the whole collection. Jewellery, clutches, totes and backpacks. Ive realised this is an area that I would like to look more into and just maybe have my own creations placed in wardrobes all over the world!

Feather Headband
Monochrome rope €3
jute roll €1.50
feathers (green) €2
feathers (pink) €2
.5 hours @ €10.00 €5
€13.50
20% profit €2.70
Total cost plus profit  €16.20
Estimated Retail Price  €20.00

In regards to the pricing for this feather head band! I think they are reasonable and fairly priced.

To be sold and €20.00 in stores, I think is a very good price considering the amount of time gone into them, the headbands are all made by hand! If I were to create a large amount of these headbands I would maybe consider a different method of manufacturing, however I think the quality would be better if they were hand made, because you can pay more attention to detail.

Overall this assignment has thought me about what goes into designing, making and selling an accessory or any other item of clothing.

Oh Hello Sunshine

Hey Guys,

I've recently been all over the place with work and making decisions about my future, I haven't had time to sit down and reflect on what I was truly happy doing. That is creating content for YouYube  , Instagram and my blog which I have completely neglected on all levels by the way! I hope that this summer I can release my inner creative crazy person and deliver some cool outfits, photography and advice!

If you would like to follow me on this journey, I'd be more than happy to show you what its like in the mind of a fashion obsessed, photography and travel geek!

Hope you guys like this look I put together, inspired by my nochella experience of stalking Coachella goers!
