"Be Bold"

Be Bold with the new

 Real Techniques "BOLD METALS" collection

The suspense for these makeup brushes all over the world was incredible, even when I went to buy them in the shop the guy behind the counter just laughed and said "whats all the hype for with these brushes" He clearly doesn't understand how us girls think!
The hype is clearly caused by how different these brushes look compared to Real Techniques original collection of brushes. This collection screams BOLD and this is exactly what its name represents. The "BOLD METALS" collection is a complete contrast to the original brushes. I feel they are better designed, the colour and overall look of the brushes is amazing!

When you first see them in their packaging, its hard not to get overwhelmed with how striking the gold, silver and rose gold is!

For me, so far my favourite brush would have to be the 301 flat contour brush. It gives you amazing control to give the perfect sculpted effect. Even for those who are unfamiliar with contouring would have no problem when using this brush.

While I'm loving all the brushes I bought from this collection the 101 triangle foundation brush has yet to win me over!! It may be the foundation I am using with it, but it just didn't give me the effect I had envisioned for such uniquely designed brush. I found the foundation went on streaky and unevenly as the bristle aren't as dense as the other brushes.

My over all first impression of Real Techniques new "BOLD METALS" collection is one of praise.
I have yet to get the remaining brushes, but for now I will continue to use the ones I need and hopefully learn to use them properly in order to benefit fully with them.

If you are looking for new brushes I would definitely recommend you to try these brushes

Such high end design at such an affordable price !

Dressed to the Nines..

Every girl needs a staple pair of black pointed toe heels! and this amazing pair is from the oh so lovely and classy brand Nine West.  I bought these recently for a wedding, however I've always wanted a pair of pointed toe heels. They go we anything, from boyfriend jeans to a floor length maxi skirt. At first I was hesitant in buying these as I thought the pointed toe would be uncomfortable, surprisingly they are the complete opposite. They fit like gloves and I could prance around in them all day! Well... we all know that I might be over exagerating a tad! but I still love the comfort I feel wearing this shoes.

I promise you it is worth getting rid of an old tattered pair of heels in your closet and replace them with a classic heel like these Nine West beauties. You will not regret it!

They can take you anywhere and whatever the outfit put these shoes on and you will always look dressed to the Nines!!

Yours Sincerely

The Playlist To 2015

So to start off the New year, even though it has passed and is like 8 days in, I decided to put together all my favourite songs that I have come to love and obsess over the past year and pack them in to one big blog post.
My music taste is very different, it depends on my mood I suppose. One minute I could be listening to Kanye West and minutes later singing along to Ben Howard.

So here they are.. A few of the songs I deafened people with in 2014

                                                         Dark Blue - Jack Mannequin

Matt Corby - Resolution

Matt Corby - Untitled

astronomyy- nothin on my mind

Suvi - Bleeding for your love

Tiesto - Wasted

Travie McCoy - Rough Water ft Jason Mraz

Hope you enjoyed listening to a few  of my favourite songs, the songs that will never annoy me or get old!

What are some of your favourite songs ?

Ted the Baker

This look is based on the amazing Ted Baker, one of my favourite clothing labels ever! A couple of weeks ago I was browsing around Brown Thomas in the Ted Baker section, and I spotted this amazing bomber jacket, It immediately caught my eye because it was different and colourful and at that time I was constantly sporting grey and dull clothing so I was looking for something quirky, and basically that is what Ted Baker is all about. However when I went to check the price tag -you know that intense moment when you're hoping its not outrageously overpriced, which in this case for my budget at the time, it was!

However last week I went to the renowned Brown Thomas sale and after a while I got tired of being pushed around the bag section and feeling like an ant, I headed straight to the clothing on the first floor, and right there in front of me was the  jacket  50% off!
I just had to get it ! along with the jacket I also picked up a pair of jeans from J-brand. I was in desperate need of a staple pair of jeans and these jeans are perfect!
Hope you like this look, remember never be afraid of adding a unique piece to your outfit and lets not forget to throw some sparkle in there !

My New Year's Resolutions

As the saying goes "New Year New Me " , So original right? well, no matter how unoriginal it may be there is a certain element of hope in that one small phrase, and maybe by saying it, it is a way of giving ourselves that extra bit of drive to work towards a dream or goal this coming year.

2014, for me I would say was one of the most challenging years I've experienced so far, from dealing with new and unfamiliar situations, the pressure of figuring out what I truly want to do with my life and also juggling a full time course with a job. I have to say it has been very hectic. However I've decided to return to what makes me truly happy, and thats creating a fashion blog. If you read my previous post you would know I once had a blog but due to practically everything I let it go and gave up on something that I really enjoyed.
However for 2015 I have decided to not let anything get in my way. Its time to put myself first for once and to the exclusion of anyone who has anything negative to say. This has been a dream of mine for the last four years and I've come to the realisation that if I let this go now, I will regret it in the future.
MY NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS
& maybe yours too !

And there you have it nine New Year's resolutions that I am positive would work for not only me but for you too!

One more personal New Year resolution is
To start being me and stop worrying about all the people that judge because they may not understand what I see. It's my life and Im going to live it the way I want ( finally )

To finish I want to wish everyone who reads this, if only one person or one hundred people a very happy and prosperous new year, I hope this year brings lots of love, joy and success to everyone of you. Make this your year to do something you've always wanted too. It's the start of a new chapter. It's never too late to begin something.

What is your New years resolution?

GOOD LUCK
xx Lisa B
